The Isles
The Isles came from the Cottage Housing concept, after looking at Langley’s 3rd Street Cottages, Shoreline’s Greenwood
Avenue Cottages, and Bainbridge Island's products, Pete Peterson
wanted to add his own inspiration. The thinking was “Why penalize someone
for building smart? Why limit them to less than 1050 square feet, why make
them carry their groceries in the rain? Why does a cluster have to be less
than 12 units, and why can’t they have a lockable garage? Why does an
attached garage count against their living square feet?
We can offer them the best attributes like, a community feel, green
built smart housing, smaller in size yet very livable, common space nicely
landscaped and maintained, community gardens with open-space for humans
and pets. All this and views too. You want to Snowbird away for the winter
and forget your property in Anacortes? No problem, the homeowners
association will take care of things while you're away.
With Washington Park nearby with a boat launch, walking trails and
beautiful scenery and wild life, it's easy to throw out the crab pot, try
your luck at salmon fishing or go for a leisurely stroll.
